How do we make the world's best selling single surfboard better? That was the
question we asked ourselves when we started the project for the new 7'9''. The
answer: subtle changes. Changes that we know are a marked improvement on one of
our best sellers. The outline is almost identical. The changes include a
slightly thicker mid section, providing more buoyancy under the surfer for
easier paddling, with a thinned out tail and nose, providing increased
maneuverability and easier control. In addition it's finished off with a nose
protector, increasing the durability of the board and eliminating the need for
the foam entry points in the rear of the board. A marked improvement,
incorporating all of the good points of the original 7'9'', with all we have
learnt over the board's 10-year life span.
